r2r-lifecycle-01-hi-pngNatalia Madjarevic, Training and Implementation Manager at Altmetric, and Ann Lawson, Head of Business Development at Kudos are co-running a workshop at the Research to Reader Conference, taking place in London on February 15 – 16th. The workshop is titled “Reach and Reputation” and consists of three sessions over the course of the conference.

Topics covered will include the following:

  • How can authors and editors manage visibility and readability?
  • Researchers and scholars are increasingly expected to communicate their work to readers beyond their immediate peers. Why is this worth doing?
  • What are the barriers to doing it?
  • What support and services could publishers, librarians, and agents / suppliers in the scholarly information community provide? How can we get started?

You can follow all the conference Twitter activity via @R2RConf and the #R2Rconf hashtag.

Phill Jones, Head of Publisher Outreach, has also written on our Perspectives blog about how the conference promises to be “a breath of fresh air”.

“With a fresh start and a new perspective, I’m confident that the conference will live up to its promise to bring together members of the research, library and publishing community and span the complete workflow of creating, validating, publishing, supplying, finding, consuming and storing research information. That conversation isn’t really fully happening anywhere else and is absolutely necessary if we’re going to improve the way that research is communicated in a sustainable way.”
