#FuturePub is Back! New Developments in Scientific Collaboration Tech
FuturePub is back! The quintessential scholarly publishing tech event will be held on September 25th to coincide with the start of the new academic year.
The evening will be fun and informal with plenty of drinks and pizza available throughout. Overleaf’s legendary event aims to give opportunities to those working on new ideas and innovations a chance to present and get feedback on their ideas.
To get a taste of what is to come, here’s a Storify detailing the best tweets of Future Pub 8!
In case this is your first time, here’s how it works:
- Five or six quick-fire talks cover a range of new and exciting developments in science & publishing tech.
- These all fit into a one hour slot (from 7-8pm), to keep the evening fast-paced and fun. Arrive early for pre-talk pizza and drinks!
- The rest of the evening is then open for discussions and conversations over the remainder of the drinks and/or pizza! We get a great mixture of attendees from the research, publishing and start-up communities, and we usually head to a nearby pub to continue on into the small hours.
