The Catalyst Grant Program is an international initiative by Digital Science to support the innovation of new software tools and technologies for scientific research. To-date, we have awarded more than $100,000 in grants. Awards of up to $25,000 are intended to provide initial support to take ideas from concept to prototype and are considered twice per year, once in December and once in June.

Our evening event will include a keynote from British entrepreneur, Brent Hoberman, Co-Founder of lastminute.com, made.com, Founders Forum and Founders Factory, who will talk about what makes a successful startup and how he recognises and nurtures talent.

The rest of the evening will form a workshop for sharing and offering up tips and tricks on how to get your ideas off the ground! You will hear from those in the Digital Science portfolio including John Hammersley, the founder of our portfolio company Overleaf.
