Digital Science Doodles: Championing Success and Avoiding the Echo Chamber

Dr Jessica Wade who works in the Department of Physics and Centre for Plastic Electronics at Imperial, has captured the conversations from our Spotlight event in the form of a wonderful illustration.

Held last night at our London HQ, the event formed part of a series hosted by Digital Science to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day.

Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). For the last few years, October marks a busy month for Digital Science, littered with celebratory blog posts, online events, physical events and poetry.

The evening provided an opportunity to learn from an inspirational panel with a focus on practical advice and how we can actually change the status quo. This doodle covers a lot of the keywords mentioned during the evening. We hope you enjoy!

You can also take a look at the Twitter conversation from the evening on #WiSTEMspotlight.

You can also see a second doodle (part 2) here.
