asce-overleaf-logosFounded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 150,000 civil engineers worldwide and is America’s oldest national engineering society.

Last week, Overleaf and the ASCE announced a new partnership to provide ASCE authors with a new, enhanced authoring template and simplified submission process.

Authors submitting to all 35 of the ASCE journals will have access to the ASCE authoring template within Overleaf. Once finished writing, authors will be able to easily submit to any ASCE journal through a simplified submission link within the authoring template.

Angela Cochran, ASCE Journal Director says of the news:

“A good number of our authors prefer to work in LaTeX. In this partnership with Overleaf, we can provide a trusted template and author support not available before. I am excited about the ability for authors to also work in the Rich Text format allowing collaboration between users of all comfort levels of LaTeX.”

John Hammersley, Founder & CEO of Overleaf says:

“We’re really excited to be working with ASCE and their authors. The newly enhanced template and option to easily submit to any of the 35 ASCE journals is an excellent resource and addition to the Overleaf platform.”

Links to the template and Overleaf platform will be available within the submission guidelines on the ASCE website. To find out more you can see the official announcement here.
