OAweekKicking off today is Open Access (OA) Week! A yearly event where institutions around the globe host events to discuss all things open access.

You can follow the discussion online too, using .

OA Week is now entering its eighth year, and offers an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of OA, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation in helping to make OA a new norm in scholarship and research.

Here at Digital Science we support innovation in scholarly communication in whatever form that takes and OA Week offers an invaluable chance to connect the global momentum toward open sharing with the advancement of policy changes on the local level.

How are we celebrating #OAweek?

Across our portfolio, we will be out and about at events throughout OA week.

Most notably, this week Symplectic have launched a Brief Timeline Of Open Access. The timeline offers a record of key events that have impacted the Open Access arena.
