Sci Comm Conf ColourWe’ll be at the
Science Communication Conference this week (1- 2 May) at the University of Surrey, so come say hello if you’re attending or get involved online via the hashtag #SciComm14.

The event, a project of The British Science Association, brings together people from across the science communication field to address the key issues facing science communicators today and to share ideas.

This diverse group of people includes those involved in public engagement at universities, charities, science centres, learned societies, science festivals, science policymakers and science media.

Our own Jean Liu from Altmetric will be running a workshop on responsible science reporting and avoiding hype:

Facing the Altmetrics Data Divide – can we highlight important, under-reported science in the media?

This will be at 2pm on Thursday 1 May do so join us. We’ll be using #SciCommAlt for the session hashtag, so do get involved.
