Instructor Bios:

Sara Gonzalez is the Product Evangelist at Papers by ReadCube.  Before joining Papers, she was tenured faculty in the University of Florida Libraries, liaising to the physical sciences and mathematics departments along with directing the Libraries’ 3D visualization and printing services.  She holds a PhD in seismology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a BS in geophysics from Caltech, and a MLIS from Florida State University.  Sara’s first research experience was a summer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory after her sophomore year analyzing astronomical images.  This summer fellowship plus experiences in graduate school motivated her to develop a credit course for the UF Honors Program to introduce students to the ancillary skills needed to be successful as new researchers.  This new bootcamp series for all Papers customers is a condensed version of that class.

Lee Spence is a Product Specialist at Overleaf, responsible for an array of tasks, including conducting webinars and supporting all things Overleaf and LaTeX. Before starting her career at Overleaf, Lee completed an MS in mathematics at the University of Tennessee, where she enjoyed a mixture of teaching, research, and coursework responsibilities. She utilized Overleaf for virtually all of the assignments and projects during her studies, providing her with a natural understanding of its usage. In her personal life, Lee enjoys matcha lattes and strength training at the gym.
