About the role:

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to help drive engagement with our outputs and activities. The role holder will work closely with the Head of Content & Community to support and develop digital marketing strategies to drive content engagement and support our commercial objectives. This includes managing multichannel campaigns (across email, social media, SEO, etc.) to promote our reports, publications and webinars. You will have a creative mind with a strong commercial background. You’ll have your finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest engagement tactics and tools in digital marketing, and you’ll be able to bring these ideas to the table in team meetings. In addition, you will be involved in the creation of engaging content for social media.


  • Ownership and accountability for digital marketing strategy, including planning, implementation, management and optimisation for both inbound marketing and paid media
  • Optimising the best working channels to grow leads through webinars, social media, paid search, paid social media, etc., to deliver traffic to the website against agreed KPIs
  • Management of the Digital Science social media channels
  • Performing reporting and analysis of your campaigns, content and those of our competitors and making recommendations for improvement and greater impact
  • Benchmarking and setting new KPI targets to measure and elevate the performance of your digital marketing campaigns
  • Assisting with research, testing, and evaluation of new digital media platforms and researching and reporting on competitive trends in the digital marketing ecosystem
  • You will be the go-to team expert for content marketing and social media trends. You will attend relevant cross-portfolio planning meetings  to proactively align on campaigns and learnings
  • Budget management

  • An understanding of the scholarly and research community, including main stakeholders, sectors, successes and challenges
  • SEO experience 
  • Experience in creating engaging multimedia for use on website and for social media, with design software experience such as Canva, Adobe, etc
  • Experience of social media platforms such as Hootsuite
