Vice-President Academic & Government
Igor is Vice-President, Academic and Government at Digital Science, supporting funder, government and institutional customers internationally.
Concurrently, he is a leader of Digital Science business in Russia. Igor brings 20+ years of experience helping organisations forming and translating strategy into action, launching new products, and building university internationalization, digital transformation and win-win partnerships projects involving stakeholders at all levels. Having spent nearly 10 years in the Alaskan, Canadian and Russian Arctic as a student and researcher, Dr. Osipov held senior management positions and led international projects in IT, strategy consulting & education, STM publishing (most recently with Digital Science, Elsevier and BMJ) and philanthropy.
He is an active member of the research community, chairs and participates in various Boards and working groups across industry & academia, including FEFU Endowment Foundation, BMJ and UArctic Association Science Analytics. Dr. Osipov has applied social sciences and decision-making background and holds a B.A. from RGGU-University of Alaska (Russia-US), an M.A. from University of Sussex (UK) and a Ph.D. from University of Alberta (Canada).
