Lezan is a computational linguist in the Data Science team. She holds a BSc degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Aberdeen and a PhD in Computer Science in the area of intuitive interfaces for devices in Ad-Hoc Networks from Loughborough University.
In her previous life as an academic, she spent 4 years at the Unilever Center for Molecular Informatics at the University of Cambridge as a research associate and a visiting academic at National Centre for Text Mining (NaCTeM) in Manchester. She primarily worked on developing natural language processing tools for the chemistry domain.
