Maura Imparato, a teacher at heart, has been an IT Project manager for over ten years. In her off-time she has taught dancing, management, and graphic art. She especially likes to practice and teach ballroom dancing. She has organised and choreographed Swing, Lindy Hop and Latin dance performances for several places she has worked, including the Government Employees Insurance Company’s Diversity Committee and the International Monetary Fund’s Footnotes dance club. Many of her performances and academic speaking engagements are featured on social media.

Maura is a perpetual academic and is working on her third social science degree. She has a bachelor’s in anthropology, a master’s in technology management, and is studying for a doctorate in neuroscience at Georgetown University.
