Academician, Dr. Alexey Khokhlov, Vice-President of Russian Academy of Sciences shared: In recent years, we have been actively talking about the digital economy and digital service and how digitalization has changed and continues to change people’s lives. It is important to understand that the first area that was strongly influenced by digitalization was science. Along with the convenience and acceleration of the possibility of transmission and exchange of information, there are special problems in the digital environment, which Digital Science is focused on finding solutions for. The Russian Academy of Sciences actively cooperates with Digital Science, this cooperation is productive and we plan to continue it in the future.”

Dr. Igor Osipov, CEO of Digital Science Russia/CIS and VP, Academic & Government EMEA added:  “Digital Science Russia/CIS has organized this event with the aim to create an open dialogue where founders of emerging  digital technologies and research community itself have a chance to speak with each other directly, without a medium of press or publication. We have now run second annual event and every year there is a lot of interest for, and excellent speakers at, the Forum. We are happy to partner with Russian Academy of Sciences for this Forum and exchange ideas on how science and digitalization will develop globally, in Russia and, most importantly, contextualize new digital projects toward the actual needs of the research community.”
