Leading figures within scholarly and professional publishing communities are due to speak about open access, open science and what the future of scholarly publishing looks like.
Nicko Goncharoff, our Chief Business Development Officer, will be giving a talk about the latest updates and developments that are occurring in the scholarly publishing industry and will be part of the first collection of speakers beginning at 10:35 AM.
‘Scholarly Collaboration Networks and STM’s Voluntary Principles’
Nicko Goncharoff will be looking at how publishers are addressing the issue of article sharing. As chair of the STM Reference Group on Scholarly Collaborative Networks, Nicko is working directly with publishers and other stakeholders to work toward a sustainable system of sharing that furthers the advancement of scholarly research and communication. He will give an update on the group’s progress as well as share his personal views on the challenges and opportunities around sharing of subscription journal content. Nicko’s presentation is part of the meeting’s first plenary session entitled, ‘What’s Happening’.
