BioData World Congress 2022
BioData World Congress is Europe’s largest congress covering big data in pharmaceutical development and healthcare. The congress was initially designed through a partnership with EMBL-EBI and the Sanger Institute five years ago to tackle the issues of driving big data into the clinic and pharmaceutical development in the most streamlined way possible. This year the conference has joined forces with Genomics Live, Cheminformatics Live, and PharmAI as BioTechX, covering diagnostics, precision medicine and digital transformation in pharmaceutical development and healthcare.

Title: Innovation needs speed! How can we prevent information overload from turning us into snails?
Abstract:
R&D teams are almost drowning in new publications that need to be monitored anew every day, and doctors in our clinics need access to the latest scientific findings but are sometimes lost when it comes to identifying specific relevant information in the mountain of publications. We’ll present some new approaches, technologies and AI-based methods that can help us get back in front of the wave.
For example, we will demonstrate how relevant information on possible follow-up therapies can be obtained efficiently and directly from the latest literature, how the results of clinical studies can reach doctors more quickly and efficiently, and how literature report production which typically takes up to 2 weeks can be accelerated and delivered in only 10 minutes.

Peter is currently the Vice President for Dimensions Industrial Solutions at Digital Science, having joined in May 2020. Prior to this, Peter was Director of Sales Strategy and Operations at Huawei Germany (2016-2019) and VP Devices at Telefonica o2 Germany. He has also worked for Electronic Data Systems as their Business Development Manager from 2001-2004, as well as a Research Assistant in Applied Mathematics at the University of Saarland (1996-2000). Peter is based in Germany.
