Onboarding & new starters
Your quick start matters to us.
Our onboarding process is designed to provide the clarity, support, and warm welcome you need to feel valued and start contributing effectively right away.
My start at Digital Science was really great – my manager had taken the time to arrange introductions to relevant people within the business, so that I could learn about our product suite and our business generally, as well as building up relationships internally. I joined my teams’ twice weekly meetings, so I was soon feeling part of the ‘gang’, and knew the people that I could turn to for advice or help. It was also very helpful to take part in the weekly ‘Donut’ programme – whereby I had a coffee chat with various people from across all the different business areas and geographies – in order to share experiences of, and ask questions about, Digital Science – and it was lovely to know people already before going to Digital Science events.

Flexible & hybrid work
Trust and autonomy are fundamental.
We empower our people with flexibility, enabling you to manage your work and personal commitments in a way that helps you do your best work.
At Digital Science, maintaining a work-life balance is a priority. The Flexible & Remote Work policy enables me to adjust my schedule around appointments, nursery commitments, and other obligations. There is a strong sense of trust from both the company and line managers in our ability to perform our jobs effectively. When I do my work well, I can easily arrange my life to accommodate all my responsibilities.
Tiago, Senior Marketing Manager
Global collaboration
Our strength is truly global.
We foster a deeply collaborative culture that intentionally connects colleagues across borders and diverse teams, uniting us to achieve a shared purpose.
Collaborating within our team across Iasi and Glasgow was instrumental in successfully migrating clients from the legacy data center to one of the preferred cloud providers that we use. We turned our time difference into a major advantage, using a follow-the-sun model to provide extended hours of support and overlap. This continuous workflow allowed us to complete the project without impacting our normal business activities, significantly reducing the migration timeline and minimizing client downtime. The diverse skills and perspectives along with tens of years of experience from both teams ensured a comprehensive and robust strategy, leading to a flawless migration with minimal impact on the client activity.

AI & innovation
Innovation thrives on human-AI partnership.
We empower our teams to experiment with cutting-edge technologies, continually advancing how we solve problems in the research community through collaboration with AI.
So one of the biggest challenges in my work is wrangling information. It comes at me from everywhere: software documentation, conversations, Slack threads, emails, technical specs, research papers, even video tutorials. It’s like trying to keep track of a dozen spinning plates at once. On my own, I’d always risk dropping one.
That’s where AI has been a real game-changer. Tools like ChatGPT, NotebookLM, or Copilot act almost like an information assistant in my mental workshop. They help me catch every detail, connect the dots, and apply the frameworks I rely on without losing track of the big picture.
It hasn’t just made me faster or more consistent, it’s made me more confident. I know I can dig into complex problems, pull together messy threads of information, and come out with something solid.

Continuous learning
Growth is integral to our culture.
We actively invest in development opportunities, ensuring every individual is empowered to expand their skills, knowledge, and potential through continuous learning.
My nine-year journey at Digital Science has been one of continuous progression, evolving from a product manager in a specialist field to an SVP of Product across a diverse portfolio. This growth has been a direct result of the company’s commitment to professional development, providing me with access to great programs, opportunities to try new things and invaluable mentorship. It’s a truly rewarding place to build a career and expand your expertise

Employee Resource Groups
Belonging is at the heart of Digital Science.
Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are a vital, colleague-led part of this, fostering community, driving awareness, and championing diverse perspectives across the globe.
As co-chair of the Women’s ERG, I’m proud of how we foster a supportive community and influence company policy relating to the experiences of women and non-binary colleagues. Our ‘Supporting people through menopause’ event is a powerful example of how we provide vital education, equipping our entire community with the knowledge to create a more compassionate and supportive workplace for all.

Returning from leave
We support life’s major milestones.
Our focus is on providing a supportive and welcoming environment for colleagues returning from long-term leave, ensuring a seamless and positive transition back to work.
I dedicated years of my career to education and growth, and motherhood was a new experience to me that brought lots of joy, love, excitement, chaos and also uncertainty. Returning to work brought a lot worrying thoughts: Do I have to leave my job to be a good mother? Are my technical skills too rusty? Will I be able to focus and handle a highly technical, demanding job? Have I still “got it”? Is it the end of my growth & development?
Turns out, it was just the beginning of a new, even brighter and better chapter: Digital Science gradual return scheme helped me to bring my confidence back. My manager always had useful technical courses, manuals, certifications to guide me back to my role. My colleagues extremely patient, supportive to take me up to speed with all the new processes.
As a result, I am now back to my role with passion and confidence, yet still have time to attend multiple toddler groups and spend time with my son!
Kristina, Operations Manager
