Bob has a background in Medical Informatics, and after his PhD from Erasmus University became chief scientific officer of a startup Collexis which was later acquired by Elsevier. There he helped build SciVal and later on moved into the role of Director of Search and Data Science. After more than 10 years he joined Digital Science as their VP Technology, and is among others leading a team of data scientists responsible for corporate consultancy.
