The National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP) is the only professional association dedicated solely to Research Development. They support Research Development professionals and their institutions, and have a robust and diverse community with a culture of helping one another advance research globally.

Digital Science is looking forward to supporting this event as a Silver Sponsor. If you are attending, drop by our virtual booth to say hello and find out more about the role Dimensions plays in Research Development. We will also be presenting a product demonstration session during the conference.

Kate Byrne, VP of Product Management at Symplectic will be presenting a panel presentation with Jeff Agnoli of Ohio Innovation Exchange and Rebecca Bryant of OCLC at this year’s conference.

Tuesday, 26 April from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM EST

Building and Leveraging Partnerships: How to Advance Research Information Management Systems (RIMS) to Catalyze Research

This panel presentation will address best practices in establishing RIMS from the perspective of a State-wide RIMS, international library and technology partner and vendor/client solutions in this ecosystem.
Since 2018, the Ohio Innovation Exchange has served as a driver of economic development and innovation across Ohio. With an eye toward the future, the implementation team successfully secured grants from the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Third Frontier, a technology-based economic development initiative. Funding from this program facilitates new partnerships with our regional economic development offices, industry engagement/higher education professionals, academic leaders, faculty members, and library colleagues. Learn practical ways to leverage these partnerships towards measurable outcomes.

The Ohio Innovation Exchange is built upon technology from Symplectic and Dimensions, both Digital Science portfolio companies. Symplectic’s VP of Product Management, Kate Byrne, will demonstrate how different technologies and data sets can be brought together to deliver information-driven solutions that facilitate connections and collaborations, and cross-pollinate knowledge across networks to drive real innovation.
