Digital Science Spotlight Event: Open Data For Researchers
Join us for our first ever Spotlight event, a community event series that will look at the challenges researchers face and how they can be addressed.
Open Data is a term often used to define how data are (or ‘is’, depending on your preference) published – in a way that enables sharing and re-use without barriers.
This event will review the need for Open Data in research and scholarly communication, highlighting examples of why and where Open Data is valuable.
Speakers will present some recent initiatives in putting Open Data into practice and debate the priorities for what researchers and publishers should be doing to enable access to and re-use of scientific data.
