I recently was asked to give a presentation at TechCityStars in London. They support young people by connecting them with local businesses and placing them into a range of apprenticeship streams, such as web development, IT support, creative, or operations. These apprenticeships are meant to inspire and motivate young people from often disadvantaged backgrounds who feel uncertain about their future and need some guidance into the vast range of opportunities waiting for them at their doorstep.

So I decided to make my talk about what a role in user experience (UX) is, who I am, and what I do at Digital Science, into a journey about where I came from and how I ended up where I am now.

I hope it helped them relate to and inspired them to make good choices in the future.

Here it is – and if you have any further questions, feel free to get in touch with me, I am @ux4science on Twitter.
