Dimensions & Altmetric Workshop: Exploring Collaborations and SDGs impact through Big Data Analysis

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn to analyze, benchmark and compare research collaborations using a specially curated dataset focused on transatlantic Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) collaborative efforts between North America and Europe. We’ll look at how different collaboration types contribute to “impact,” for example through the creation of policy and patents, amongst other metrics.

During the workshop, participants will be given access to an example dashboard, and get practical guidance on how to create their own visualizations and insights. The bespoke dataset will be running on the background in Google BigQuery and participants will be taught to access all this data using Looker Studio to create their own visualizations and dashboards.

This workshop is ideal for those wanting to expand their technical and analytical skillset and take on more data intensive projects at their institutions. Participants will also be able to continue to access and edit their dashboards throughout the conference.
